Direct Support Professional - House Manager

Full-Time, Hourly $13.50/hour

New Hire DSP+ incentive bonus of $1,000

We have several shifts and schedules to meet your needs. These are general options, but we have a lot of variety within these.

  • Shifts: Days: 7am-7pm, 8am-8pm, 9am-9pm & Nights: 7pm-7am, 8pm-8am, 9pm-9am
  • Schedules: Sun/Mon/Tue/Wed and Wed/Thu/Fri/Sat

Since A New Leaf was founded in 1979, our mission has been to provide job training, life skills and residential services to elevate confident independence and self-sufficiency for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism.

This position is a companion to individuals with developmental disabilities and assist them in acquiring daily living skills. Providing daily support which includes but not limited to: personal care, daily meal preparation, medication administration, daily activities, transportation, and continued focus on implementation of individualized objectives.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to drive, have and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
  • Must always have and maintain car insurance coverage.
  • Must be able to pass a state and federal background check.
  • Must maintain eligibility to operate agency vehicles.
  • Physical capacities must include bending, stooping, lifting at least 40 pounds, and the ability to lift, transfer, and position individuals served.
  • Must be able to work with frequent interruptions, deal with diverse personalities during difficult/sometimes stressful situations and still complete job assignments.
  • Must be able to communicate orally, both over the phone and face-to-face.
  • Must be able to prepare and read written documentation as well as perform and understand basic mathematical functions.
  • Must follow policy and procedures of A New Leaf, Inc.
  • Ensures all individuals served are safe in their environment and program participation.
  • Must fulfill all training and in-service requirements necessary to work with individuals served within the timeframe required by A New Leaf, Inc. and the State of Oklahoma.


Our company is currently taking part in the DSP+ incentive.

DSP+ helps address the statewide shortage of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) with financial rewards. The goal is to recruit new DSPs, retain current DSPs and reward employees for their dedication and tenure — plus, provider agencies will receive an administrative incentive for participating. After enrolling in the DSP+ initiative, DSPs can earn up to $3,000 in incentives.
