Job Description:
Hospice Nurse Practitioner
Branch: Tulsa, OK | Schedule: PRN
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care Excellence:
- Deliver high-quality palliative and hospice care, ensuring patient comfort and dignity.
- Prevent unnecessary hospitalizations by meeting patient and family needs at home.
- Clinical Leadership:
- Collaborate with the Medical Director, attending physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to provide holistic care.
- Assist in developing clinical practice guidelines and provide ongoing staff training.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Prepare and maintain accurate patient records, charts, and documentation in compliance with CMS and regulatory standards.
- Perform accurate billing and coding activities for patient encounters.
- Communication:
- Serve as a trusted resource for patients, families, and team members.
- Collaborate with branch leadership and medical teams to deliver seamless, high-quality care.
What You’ll Bring
- Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing and certification through a national Nurse Practitioner licensing board.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of clinical nursing experience.
- 1+ year of post-graduate experience in hospice and palliative care (preferred).
- Background in Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or Psychiatry is a plus.
- Licensure:
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP).
- Active DEA license.
- Board certification in Palliative Care is preferred.
- Travel: Able and willing to travel up to 50% to support patient and business needs.
