Head of Payables Solutions and Growth

As the Head of Payables Solutions and Growth, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategies in the growth and adoption of our embedded automated bill payment and credit card capabilities for our flag-ship financial solution, Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT. This is a highly visible role within Blackbaud reporting to the Chief Customer Officer. It is important to note that this is a newly created position, signifying the company’s commitment to growth and innovation.

This role will have direct accountability for achieving significant revenue growth objectives for our automated bill payment and credit card capabilities, with a focus on expanding customer adoption and increasing transaction volume through these capabilities. Success in this role requires a collaborative approach that spans the organization. The individual will be responsible for driving accountability across various functions, ensuring the timely delivery of key milestones, which includes meeting timelines, deliverables, and a highly optimized end to end process across the Blackbaud COEs including marketing, sales, enablement, FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis), product management and all aspects of customer success.

This leader will also have responsibility for assessing and building a small, highly effective team to drive adoption of the solution. Finally, the successful candidate will be a dynamic individual who embodies the qualities of an inspiring change agent. They will possess curiosity, an innate ability to learn rapidly and the ability to navigate a matrixed organization. This individual will exhibit unwavering grit and determination, fortified by a proven track record of delivering remarkable results, notably in surpassing transactional revenue targets.

What You’ll Do:

• Craft and implement a comprehensive go-to-market strategy aimed at significantly accelerating the adoption of our embedded automated bill payment and credit card capabilities for FENXT.

• Assume ownership for the development, delivery, and continuous enhancement of a high-performing and delightful end to end customer experience encompassing the full life cycle of automated bill payment.

• Demonstrate the ability to drive program goals, milestones, and deliverables by fostering collaboration among multiple teams in a collaborative manner.

• Gain alignment with global marketing, and track delivery and optimization of new value proposition and positioning by customer segment within the fundraising portfolio.

• Deliver sales and account growth strategies and competitor profiles that reflect alignment across product, engineering, marketing, customer success, renewals, and sales.

• Lead the payables solutions and growth team to deliver exceptional performance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

• Collaborate closely with customer success, support, and product management to ensure the value proposition is effectively measured and validated through both one-on-one to one-to-many approaches.

• Lead directly while influencing other functions to successfully achieve objectives.

• Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure achievement of results.

• Deliver industry thought leadership and grow industry sentiment.

What You’ll Bring:

• A minimum of 10 years of management experience, with a proven track record of success in driving significant transactional revenue growth.

• Demonstrated experience in enabling volume growth through both one-on-one and scaled motions.

• Exceptional leadership skills, characterized by a history of managing and developing high-performing teams.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proven ability to think strategically, adapt quickly and demonstrate an unwavering bias for action.

• Commitment to social impact.

• Experience in the technology or non-profit sector is considered a strong asset.

• Working knowledge of both digital payments and fintech.

The starting base salary and annual proposed commission is $238,100.00 to $338,100.00. Blackbaud may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, sales quota, Company finances, and other operational considerations.
