Summary:

Assist customers/sales representatives with furniture orders and questions via phone, web and email


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong understanding of furniture in order to effectively and correctly assist sales reps, internal staff, and customers with furniture and rug quotes, orders and information.
  • Answer incoming calls & emails in a timely manner.
  • Interact with workroom to ensure quality product and ship dates are met.
  • Follow-up on all orders for receiving of fabric and shipment of furniture.
  • Update computer on all actions on orders.
  • Enter customer claims and updates on the computer.
  • Interact with other departments to service needs of customer.
  • Interface with other departments to provide good service.
  • Display good safety and housekeeping practices.
  • Uses material and equipment effectively.
  • Follow departmental and corporate policies
  • *Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Job duties are subject to change as directed by management.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years experience in fast paced customer service environment.
  • Display reasoning ability and independent judgement.
  • Basic knowledge in manufacturing of furniture.
  • Typing skills of 45 WPM.
  • 10-key skills.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and above average oral communication skills.
  • Well organized and have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, highly confidential environment.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Plans and organizes work for maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Communicate with courtesy and professionalism.
