Duties and Responsibilities:

  • A fireplace installer will be responsible for the successful installation and servicing of fireplaces in new and existing homes.
  • Install gas and wood burning hearth appliances (this may be retrofitting an existing fireplace or adding a fireplace to an existing or new home)
  • Read drawings and manufacturer instructions regarding the proper installation
  • Build structures using wood and steel studs specifications
  • Use multiple power and hand tools proficiently
  • Install metal fireplace vent materials to manufacturers specifications
  • Understand and work with the building materials and construction of a home
  • Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and job site
  • Work with gas lines and understand electrical at a basic level
  • Safely move and install fireplaces over 100 lbs.
  • Attend regular company paid training

Qualifications

  • NFI Certification preferred.
  • Must have experience in either HVAC or Fireplaces.
  • Have some construction experience working with both wood and metal framing.
  • Be able to climb ladders, experience on steep pitch roofs.
  • Be able to lift and move 100 lbs + on your own.
  • Prior experience with HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical will be a big plus.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Experience using hand tools.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Basic math skills required: add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately
  • Willingness to work on roofs occasionally.
  • Must have a valid driver license and a clean driving record.
