Job Description
The Financial Planner I performs a full range of data input, financial planning, record keeping, administrative and support duties. Assigned tasks are generally assisting more senior financial planners in preparation of financial plans for high net worth clients. The Financial Planner I operates under the guidance of a more senior financial planner to ensure details of assigned tasks are performed with accuracy and follow-through. Their primary function is to leverage the time of more senior planners and create capacity while building their technical skills and financial planning knowledge base through preparation for the CFP® exam.

How You'll Spend Your Time
- You will perform financial planning research and assist in tasks and projects as needed to support the financial planning team
- You will prepare for client meetings, enter data and analyze client information while helping prepare financial plans
- You will help maintain internal systems and processes
- You will assist with administrative duties such as scheduling meetings, preparing and maintaining meeting agendas and minutes, maintaining files and operation during meetings
- You will help grow existing client and prospective client relationships
Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a
- Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of equivalent experience. Bachelor degree in personal financial planning, finance, business, accounting or related discipline.
- Basic working knowledge of: Financial Planning, Banking and Finances in General
- Knowledge of the firm’s financial planning and other core systems.
- Microsoft Office and other software application skills, including ability to create graphs, presentations, and reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to perform basic financial analyses.
- Familiarity with financial planning software applications.
- Ability to quickly learn new applications, including CRM and virtual meeting technologies.
- Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with a team
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work efficiently and consistently meet deadlines.
