Description

Job Summary: The Financial Analyst is responsible for data gathering, analysis, and preparation of financial reports. They help support the budgeting and forecasting processes. They will work closely with Accounting and Investor Relations to understand the Company and its financials.

Essential Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Perform financial analyses, utilizing advanced modeling techniques to extract meaningful insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Participate in financial reviews and plan presentations with senior management, offering valuable interpretation and context that goes beyond raw data.
  • Assist in the budgeting process by providing insights and recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend changes to modeling tools, aiming to enhance the accuracy and reliability of financial analyses and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand specific project requirements and contribute specialized financial knowledge to the successful completion of projects.
  • Assist with the development of streamlined and efficient financial analysis processes, optimizing the use of resources and improving overall workflow.
  • Provide input and support for the implementation of data management and quality control systems and process to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies and industry standards.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field and 3 years of experience as a financial analyst, strategist, or related position. MBA or CPA preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to analyze complex financial data and provide recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effectively conveying financial insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and data analysis tools.
  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other departments and teams within the organization.

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed in an climate controlled office setting and may require exposure to manufacturing facilities with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
  • Ability to sit comfortably for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability for occasional travel as the job may require visiting other sites.
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
