Job Description

The Financial Advisor – Institutional Wealth Management is primarily responsible for educating and providing retirement plan participants on their respected retirement plan, to help them participate and save for retirement. Helping the assigned financial advisor with the educational component with new and existing 401k plans and their participants.

The incumbent in this position will consult with clients to create and manage education campaigns, create power point presentations, videos, handouts, and various communication pieces as well as presenting to groups of employees or one-on-one either in person, webinar or a combination of both. Some travel may be required based on client locations. This individual will also be working with internal partners (Financial Advisors and Relationship Managers) to coordinate and manage the relationship efficiently and effectively.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will lead interactive multimedia seminars and meetings with BOKF stakeholders, while researching and understanding client-specific plan provisions and investment options to prepare for these sessions.
  • You will be responsible for improving and expanding employee education programs, focusing on increasing enrollment and savings rates, diversifying investments, and providing comprehensive pre and post-retirement planning, financial advice, and retirement projections.
  • You will deliver outstanding customer service, solve problems, foster customer relationships, stay updated with the securities portfolio for maximum marketing potential, and guide customers on investment strategies based on current market trends.
  • You are expected to operate within regulatory and internal guidelines, maintain valid securities licenses, comply with communication and sales rules, and promptly report any customer complaints or regulatory inquiries.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree in finance or comparable field and 1-2 years of experience in investments/financial planning or 3-4 years equivalent work experience.

Series 7 and Series 63/65 or 66, and Life, Long-Term Care, Health Insurance licensing required. Preference given to CFP, CFA, ChFC, MBA, and CLU professional designations.

  • Working knowledge of primary investment markets, products and services and the ability to determine specific customer needs.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of insurance products and solutions
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of bank products and services
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of income tax and estate tax matters
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of equity, mutual fund, fixed income, and option strategies
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills to prioritize and complete various tasks within assigned deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills; ability to prepare persuasive oral and written presentations and reports.
  • Excellent group presentation skills, including ability to handle group dynamics and question and answer sessions.
  • Strong PC skills including spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation applications.
