Working at Atlassian

Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

Overview:

Atlassian is looking for a Senior Finance Transformation Analyst with a Finance or Accounting background and Finance Transformation experience, to join our Finance Transformation team. You will succeed by conducting deep-dive process diagnostics, collaborating with teams, and independently drafting requirements from a process-led, technology-enabled lens to support the future state vision of Finance.

You will join our expanding Finance Transformation team and help establish industry-leading Finance and Accounting processes. You will partner with teams on our Quote to Cash (QTC) transformation program to perform analyses, design the future state, help roll out enhanced technologies, and support the organization in managing change.

You will have experience working in an environment of change, supporting Finance Transformation programs within the SaaS industry, with specific experience delivering QTC improvements.

This is a remote position. To help our teams work together, you must coordinate with global teams, including in the United States, with primary work occurring on IST. Our office is in Bengaluru, but we offer flexibility for eligible candidates to work remotely across India.

Your future team

Our Finance Transformation team is comprised of people with backgrounds in Finance, Accounting, Technology, and Strategic Operations. We lead projects to help Atlassian's finance operations become more scalable. You will be reporting to our Head of Finance Transformation, QTC.

If you are looking to make a global impact, partner with passionate team members, and take your career to the next level, we encourage you to join us on this exciting journey.

What you'll do

  • Support our multi-year QTC transformation program roadmap or other Finance Transformation projects.

  • Conduct QTC analysis and design (Contracts, Quoting, Orders, Licenses/Entitlements, Revenue Recognition, Billing, Credit, Collections/Disputes, and Cash Application).

  • Think across boundaries with a “whole systems” approach that considers people, process, and technology to support visioning, process/policy design, reengineering and implementation, requirement definition, “data baselining” of operations, and return on investment analysis.

  • Support other project activities including project/change management, testing, training, technology enhancement support, and reporting to show project benefits.

  • Build relationships within Finance and other team members from business (Sales, Channel, Legal) and technology teams (Technical Program Managers, Engineers).

  • Research industry trends and leading practices in Finance to apply in project work.

  • Ask clarifying questions to work objectively on facts, understand the possible effects of decisions, and help align with the broader project team.

Your background

  • Degree in a relevant discipline (Finance, Business, Accounting, IS, or Analytics).

  • 4+ years of experience working on Finance Transformation programs.

  • Experience in consulting (Big 4 or similar) and/or SaaS industry in Quote to Cash, Accounting, Finance Operations, Business Partnering, or Finance Strategy/Special Projects.

  • Familiarity with non-QTC Finance areas (PTP, RTR, and FP&A) differentiating.

  • Proficiency in G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, and Slides).

  • Experience or familiarity with the Atlassian suite of solutions.

  • Experience with Oracle Fusion or reporting (e.g., Tableau) differentiating.

  • Analytical skills to produce insights.

  • Outstanding collaboration skills to build relationships and provide ongoing clarity.
