Federal Recruiter
As a Recruiter at Cherokee Federal, you will be a vital member of our team, responsible for providing leadership, support, and vision in developing effective recruiting strategies to meet the staffing needs of the company. You will play a key role in acquiring and placing applicants in a timely manner, ensuring we hire quality candidates who meet the criteria for each position. Additionally, you will actively contribute to reducing turnover within the company by identifying and attracting top talent.

Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Federal Recruiter: $67,000 - $103,000 plus annual bonus
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Federal Recruiter Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and delivering comprehensive recruitment strategies, including new business, incumbents, recompetes, and positions with varying complexities.
- Providing support and guidance to "delivery" recruiters to ensure successful recruiting processes.
- Assisting with various recruiting efforts, such as advertising, employment fairs, and partnerships to attract potential candidates.
- Conducting searches for qualified candidates through networking, online sources, and actively engaging passive candidates.
- Creating and maintaining written recruiting plans to effectively handle the recruitment volume and provide up-to-date information to hiring managers.
- Collaborating with hiring managers to understand their business needs and criteria, developing tailored recruiting strategies accordingly.
- Actively engaging with colleges and vocational schools as a recruiting liaison to build talent pipelines.
- Researching geographic markets to identify trends and make strategic staffing recommendations based on findings.
- Staying updated on current recruiting trends, regulations, and industry developments.
- Conducting phone screens and interviews to assess applicants' qualifications.
- Effectively utilizing recruiting technology, job boards, and processes to ensure successful candidate acquisition.
- Maintaining data integrity in the recruiting system and ensuring all necessary documents are complete and timely.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant programs (e.g., Native American preference, EEO/AA, OFCCP) when filling open positions.
- Partnering with Cherokee Nation for special projects and recruitment initiatives.
- Analyzing new employee job requisitions and following up with hiring managers to drive effective recruiting strategies.
- Timely conducting phone screens, interviews, and other required screenings.
- Managing ad placements, negotiating salaries, and handling administrative components of recruiting.
- Prioritizing aged requisitions and recompetes for efficient candidate sourcing.
- Attending mandatory meetings professionally dressed, with the camera on, as required by company policy.
- Full-time employees residing within 55 miles of a Cherokee Federal Office must work in-office according to the schedule and policy.
- Meeting or exceeding established recruitment metrics.
- Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
Federal Recruiter Responsibilities Include:Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of recruiting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of compensation and employment regulations for federal contracting, preferred.
- Knowledge of Military/Defense (DoD), or federal civilian agencies to include Security Clearance experience highly preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using systems, including ATS, Microsoft Office programs, etc.
- Past applicable job experience may include but is not limited to: [list relevant experience].
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
