Summary: The Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform the maintenance of Melton facilities, building, properties, and grounds and coordinate repairs with external vendors as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following.

  1. Maintain and repair Melton facilities, buildings, properties, and grounds up to the highest standards.
  2. Troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, appliance, and sprinkler system issues and make required repairs or coordinate repairs with licensed vendors.
  3. Perform regular preventative maintenance such as replacing filters and light bulbs.
  4. Daily inspections of the grounds and buildings.
  5. Perform drywall repair and paint.
  6. Assist with lawn maintenance and snow removal as needed.
  7. Maintain laundry facilities, equipment, and supplies.
  8. Inventory and maintain company tools and supplies and purchase as required.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required, additional trainings or trade school certificate preferred.
  • 5+ years of facilities maintenance experience strongly preferred. Mechanical aptitude is necessary to be successful in this role.
  • Must be capable of making minor electrical, plumbing, a/c - heating, lighting, door lock assimilation; repairs or replacement.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and be willing to drive company vehicle on occasion.
  • Must have good communication skills and be organized with the ability to balance multiple projects at a time.
  • Physical Demands: It is necessary to talk, hear, sit, walk, type, and write. Capable of lifting 75 lbs. Must be comfortable being on your feet most of the day and working in a variety of temperatures.
