Position Information Position Title Executive Assistant Job Description The Assistant to the Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Sciences will be the primary contact for Dean’s Office with the general public, staff, faculty, and students.

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
  • Primary contact for Dean’s office
  • Assist Dean with Promotion and Tenure (tracking deadlines, updating appropriate Teams channels, create and send out Dean’s memos)
  • Assist Dean with Annual Reviews (collect data, submission tracking, meeting scheduling and letter writing)
  • Marketing Department Liaison (attend meetings, take notes and follow-up on action items)
  • Letter writing (Letters of Support, Promotion and Tenure and Contract Reviews)
  • Generate, collect and track college metrics data
  • Maintain a Pro-Card account
  • Primary contact for Dean’s front office – including phone calls
  • Maintain the Dean’s calendar/appointments
  • Handle Dean’s office travel arrangements and function attendance
  • College faculty committee elections
  • Maintenance of various spreadsheet/data information
  • Institutional Advancement assistance and primary interface (Resolution files, Greeting Cards, etc.)
  • Oversee college functions
  • Provide general support for the Dean’s office as requested/identified
  • Other Duties as assigned

Required Qualifications Excellent oral, written, organizational and interpersonal skills; the ability to work under limited supervision; the ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines; demonstrated effectiveness in working with a variety of administrative levels and diverse groups of people located both internally and externally to the institution. Previous experience in an academic setting. Familiarity and/or proficiency with standard office work applications (Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.).
