ERM International Risk Oversight Senior Manager (Remote)
This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.
The ERM International Risk Oversight Senior Manager is responsible for assisting the Director with program design and handling daily risk monitoring and oversight activities for FCB offshore operations. This includes assisting with the development, implementation and management of plans and governance routines to appropriately oversee and manage the onboarding of offshore entity(ies) – both interim actions and long-term oversight structures. The ideal candidate will have prior experience designing and/or coordinating risk management activities for offshore operations at a large financial institution. The successful candidate must be able to positively influence a diverse audience of professionals including their peers and senior management, along with effectively communicating with regulators. Therefore, the candidate must possess outstanding oral and written communication skills, and be able to communicate complex concepts, highlighting the risks and opportunities to the Bank. In addition, the candidate will have proven leadership skills, excellent operational knowledge, and a dedication to process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Offshore Risk Assessment process for International Risk Oversight, including documenting evidence, stakeholder collaboration and coordinating Risk SME Review and Challenge
- Design integration activities to ensure consistent and comprehensive integration of risk data into all existing risk activities (e.g., business continuity management, risk and control self assessments, model risk management, etc.), as well as processes to aggregate relevant risk data to facilitate monitoring and oversight of entity-specific exposures to inform Risk Profile reporting
- Provide oversight, reporting and escalation of the integration of offshore entity(ies) activities into existing ERM / ORM / Credit risk identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting programs, aligned to relevant US business units
- Assist with establishing integration approach(es) to ensure capture and oversight of exposures within all risk programs across the Bank, ensuring capability to bifurcate / aggregate risks
- Assist with development of robust and sustainable governance routines to ensure reporting and escalation
- Assist Director with design and facilitation of 2nd line oversight activities, including Review and Challenge, across risk management and the Global Services Program Office
- Assist Director with the design and implementation of entity-specific risk identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting for risks and controls specific to the offshore entity(ies)
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish monitoring and governance routines on a go forward basis, including defining effective challenge roles and accountabilities for all Second Line functions
- Work with key partners to determine appropriate alignment of First Line Risk Management resources in offshore operations that supporting onshore processes/BUs
- Establish change management oversight routines for offshore entity(ies) and the International Risk Oversight team
- Ensure necessary changes are made to risk management technology(ies) to support offshore entity specific reporting of risks, risk response strategies, issue management and management reporting
- Business Support: Establish relationships with offshore and onshore partners and stakeholders to ensure effective risk management oversight
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Operational Risk Management and Enterprise Risk Management, or regulatory guidance pertaining to Enterprise and Operational Risk (e.g. FDIC, risk and control frameworks like COSO, Basel) OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Operational Risk Management and Enterprise Risk Management, or regulatory guidance pertaining to Enterprise and Operational Risk (e.g. FDIC, risk and control frameworks like COSO, Basel)
Other Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience documenting and performing oversight activities related to risk management processes for offshore entities, preferably a large financial institution or similar consulting experience
- 1st and/or 2nd LOD experience (internal or consulting) in offshore operations within a large financial institution, preferably within Enterprise or Operational Risk
- Experience evaluating risk management processes for offshore entities
- Ability to establish, monitor and enhance large, complex processes and inputs across multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidance pertaining to enterprise and operational risk frameworks

The base pay for this position is generally between $110,000 to $180,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
