The Electrical Engineer position requires the use of your knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals to help deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. This position will work alongside a group of talented engineers. The Electrical Engineer will contribute to the development of the next generation of products by designing, validating, and testing products from prototype to production.
Employment subject to the ability to obtain U.S. export license.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Well versed with electrical design analysis, design software, and tools.
- Designs, develops, and tests electrical circuits.
- Use of computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform assignments.
- Applies principles and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals.
- Simulate and prototype circuits to validate design concepts.
- Tests products to electrical and thermal limits specified in test plans.
- Assess measurements taken and adjust test parameters as needed.
- Compile test data into test reports.
- Perform modifications on complex PCBAs.
- Offsite certification testing support (occasional travel).
- Follows the requirements of the organization’s New Product Development Process and associated procedures.
- Works to ensure all tasks are completed to plan to achieve departmental goals.
- Work with customers and field personnel in the resolution of existing product issues.
- Support both new and existing products, including creating and implementing solutions that improve the health of existing products.
- Interface with outside engineering resources and/or customers.
- Be a wise steward of company resources.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge and practical use of principles and practices of electrical engineering.
- Hardware design/troubleshooting experience, including embedded systems, hardware, and software integration experience.
- Demonstrated use of electrical lab equipment, including power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, frequency generators, and spectrum analyzers.
- Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects, work with minimal supervision, and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment with other motivated and talented individuals.
- Highly proficient project management skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience with evaluating and preparing product specifications and product performance test procedures or plans.
- Strong knowledge of UL/CE standards for testing and rating power electronics.
- Experienced in analytical problem solving and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Altium Designer PCB Design software or similar, preferred.
- Experience in Automotive and Industrial applications, preferred.
