DVP, Global Sales & Marketing
Position Summary: This position is responsibility for Global Sales, Product Management, After Sales, Marcom & Client Education. This role requires a change agent that is high energy, results oriented, hard driving with ability to establish rapport with others on a global level. A leadership style that is firm and goal oriented, motivational, ethical, and engaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluates, builds, develops, reviews, manages and improves our sales team and sales representatives (Channel partners) across the Americas.
- Drives team to aggressively retain and grow existing customers as well as find and develop new prospects in their territories. Owns the monthly Sales Forecast and Opportunity pipeline. Owns efforts to win multi-year technical service contracts.
- Establish a culture in the sales organization that is results focused. Be a key driver in changing the sales organization's orientation from pure topline growth to profitable topline growth (i.e. limited discounting, etc.)
- Meet with key customers, assisting sales team with maintaining relationships, negotiating and closing deals.
- Develops annual sales plan to support Atlas organizational strategy and objectives.
- Manages product management and after sales divisions including NA & International Technical Service and Customer Service. Sales Directors and Global After Sales Director are direct reports.
- Collaborates and partners with MARCOM, global product managers and other global functional areas by providing market analysis and feedback concerning market direction, customer needs, product requirements, business opportunities, competitive threats.
- Manages the development and administration of sales compensation plans and targets working in conjunction with Finance and Human Resources.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree; MBA preferred
- Either 7 plus years of Commercial Sales experience with track record of growing top and bottom line. Ideal candidate has both Sales and Operations experience.
- Preferred two plus years of Sales experience in technology, capital equipment, and/or instrument sales. International Sales experience preferred.
- Highly organized with attention to process and process improvement.
- Effective time management and follow-up skills.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills that include ability to translate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
