WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
The Director, Systems and Data oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of Relation’s data systems (e.g., Vertafore products). The individual in this role requires must be a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to ensure the company’s data systems' integrity, security, and efficiency.
A GLIMPSE INTO YOUR DAY
- Manages and leads the day-to-day functions and performance of the Operational Support Team to ensure excellence with the timely delivery of carrier migrations, carrier management, downloads, and end-user satisfaction.
- Leads the design, implementation, and management of data systems and infrastructure to support business operations and strategic goals.
- Develops and enforces data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and security.
- Oversees data integration processes to facilitate seamless data flow between systems and applications.
- Collaborates with various departments to understand their data needs and provides solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Manages a team of data professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
- Stays current with industry trends and advancements in data management technologies to ensure the company remains competitive.
- Develops and manages budgets for the data systems and infrastructure department
- Ensures smooth transition and integration of new agencies into the company's operational framework.
- Conducts weekly calls with acquired agencies and internal stakeholders to review progress and outstanding items.
- Develops and enforces data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and security
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Serves as a liaison between acquired agencies, carriers, and the company’s legal department.
- Identifies and recommends process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Implements and utilizes Monday.com as the project management system.
- Performs other projects, duties, and tasks, as assigned.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in insurance brokerage operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of insurance products, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in using insurance software and other relevant technologies.
- Knowledgeable of Vertafore products and experience with AMS360 and ImageRight.
- Computer literate, with advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software applications.
- Excellent leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills are required to maintain effective relationships with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors, and others.
- Ability to function effectively under tight time constraints, consistently meets strict deadlines, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive strategic decisions. Occasional weekend work as required.
- Ability to travel (up to 10%) as required.
