Director of Solutions Consulting - Remote position

Job Overview:

As the Director of Solutions Consulting, you will lead a high-performing team of Solutions Consultants who work closely with prospects and customers to demonstrate the value of Datarails. Your leadership will be crucial in driving revenue growth, improving win rates, and ensuring customer satisfaction by articulating the value and ROI of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Solutions Consultants, ensuring high levels of performance, engagement, and professional growth.
  • Drive the strategy and execution of the solutions consulting function to support sales goals and revenue targets.
  • You will be a part of the Sales leadership team and collaborate with other directors and VPs to align team efforts with sales strategies, ensuring effective solution positioning and consistent value messaging across the customer journey.
  • Provide strategic input on product development and enhancements based on market feedback and customer needs.
  • You will be reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer

Pre-Sales Engagement:

  • Oversee the end-to-end pre-sales engineering process, including discovery, solution design, product demonstrations, and proof of concept development.
  • Ensure Solutions Consultants are effectively identifying client pain points and tailoring solutions to address specific business challenges and financial objectives.
  • Partner with sales account executives and their leadership team to create compelling business cases that demonstrate the value and ROI of our FP&A SaaS platform.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Customer Success and Product teams to ensure a seamless handoff from sales to post-sale implementation, ensuring customer success from day one.
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including finance executives and technical teams, to understand their needs and ensure our solutions meet and exceed their expectations.

Performance Management & Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Solutions Consulting team, identifying opportunities for improvement in win rates, deal velocity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Report on team performance, project outcomes, and market trends to senior leadership, offering actionable insights for business growth and client engagement.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in solutions consulting, pre-sales, or a related role, preferably within the SaaS space.
  • Deep understanding of FP&A processes, financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect technology solutions to financial and business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills with the ability to engage and influence C-level executives.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and lead initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience working with SMB and Midmarket customers in various industries, with a strong focus on finance teams.
  • Experience working with FP&A tools whether as a user or as a seller
