About the team
The Director, Marketing Strategy role leads Zillow’s Marketing Strategy team. The mission of the team is to help drive the maximum value for Zillow by orchestrating strategic planning, surfacing opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency, and providing strategic recommendations to the larger organization. The team provides a comprehensive perspective within a fast paced organization, focusing on delivering tangible outcomes for the organization.About the role
Craft annual and quarterly strategic planning processes, including the development of the Marketing Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
- Develop strategic recommendations that help surface opportunities and risks to improve marketing effectiveness and efficiency across all functions. E.g. support Lifecycle Marketing team with optimizing email communication, develop recommendation to SLT on changing LOB marketing investment
- Provide consultation to the Marketing organization to help close gaps where there may be capacity constraints
- Develop data-driven points of view, strategies, and recommendations. Partner with FP&A, Data Science, Research & Insights, and Channel teams to implement recommendations
- Work with functional teams across Zillow to operationalize programs for long-term stability and impact

Qualifications:
8+ years of strategy or consulting experience, with a background in driving results for Marketing and related areas
5+ years of people management experience
Strong analytical skills with shown experience working with large datasets and data visualization tools like Tableau
Solid understanding of email and web marketing standard processes, and experience formulating channel marketing strategies
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with both technical and non-technical audiences
Proven experience influencing cross-functional partners without direct supervisory responsibility
