JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for recruitment of students to NSU through direct admission partnerships with high schools.
MAJOR DUTIES
Serve as the front line recruitment representative to direct admission partner high schools.
Recruits students through oral presentations, college and career fairs, written and electronic communications, and individual contacts.
Maintains relationships with prospective students from first contact through enrollment; serves as university liaison to prospective students, parents, and high school counselors.
Establishes and maintains relationships with direct admission partner personnel supporting student success.
Facilitate outreach, recruitment events, and campus tours for direct admission prospective students.
Provide information regarding university, general education, and academic program requirements leading to successful matriculation.
Conduct, at direct admission partner schools, workshops, orientation sessions, family information sessions, and other events targeting the strategic enrollment outcomes for the University.
Schedule and organize all NSU transfer recruitment events at TCC and other Smart Choice institutions.
Complete cross training with Student Transitions and University Advising and assist in advising prospective and admitted students as necessary.
Develop strategic communication campaigns to increase direct admission yield rates.
Main point of contact for direct admission outreach.
Request student directory information from direct admission partner schools.
Co-coordinate, with Tour Coordinator, direct admission partner schools’ group tours.
Promote the direct admission partnership opportunity to non-partner high schools and ensure its understanding as a seamless integration at Northeastern State University.
Performs related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY CONTROLS
The supervisor assigns work in terms of general instructions requiring judgement to carry out assigned tasks. The supervisor spot-checks completed work for compliance with procedures, accuracy, and the nature and propriety of the final results. It will be required to attend long term goal setting and strategic territory management meetings that are held throughout the year to focus efforts.

These guidelines require interpretation and must be accurate and consistent in the interpretations. Every student’s situation is different and requires attention to detail based on that information.
COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORK
The work must be fluid and flexible.Within the University Policies and Procedures, you must be able to view all prospective students on an individual basis. Also, each communication with the academic colleges is unique and must be detailed regarding each academic program.
This position is responsible for Recruitment of transfer students to NSU.
CONTACTS
Contacts are typically with internal and external college staff, Academic Deans and Associate/Assistant Deans, Academic Advisors, Faculty, Support Staff and Prospective Students.
Contacts are typically to give or exchange information; to promote the university and our academic programs, and to provide educational opportunities for students to attain their academic goals.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk or while intermittently sitting, standing, or stooping. The employee occasionally lifts light and/or heavy objects.
The work is typically performed in an office, library or computer room.
SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY
None.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of a Bachelor’s degree.
A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in higher education, marketing, or enrollment management with specific training as it relates to NSU and our academic program offerings.
A valid Oklahoma Driver’s License
Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
This position requires substantial travel and irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree preferred.
