Position Information Position Title Digital Marketing Coordinator Job Description POSITION SUMMARY:The University of Tulsa’s Office of Strategic Marketing and Communications is seeking a talented and experienced Digital Marketing Coordinator. This role is pivotal in enhancing our digital presence through web content updates, email marketing, and digital marketing analytics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital marketing, excellent writing skills, and proficiency in WordPress and email marketing platforms such as MailChimp or EMMA.
Essential Responsibilities: 1. Email Marketing:
- Develop and execute engaging email marketing campaigns to various target audiences, including, but not limited to, prospective students, current students, alumni, faculty, and staff.
- Utilize marketing automation tools to segment audiences and deliver personalized content, ensuring effective communication and engagement.
- Monitor email performance metrics and use data-driven insights to optimize open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and overall campaign effectiveness.
- Work closely with content creators and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of relevant and compelling email content.
- Maintain email lists, manage subscription preferences, and ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations.
2. Social Media Management:
- Maintain The University of Tulsa’s official social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other emerging platforms.
- Create and curate engaging and shareable content, including graphics, videos, and written posts, that highlight TU’s achievements, events, and campus life.
- Monitor social media conversations, respond to inquiries, comments, and direct messages in a timely and professional manner.
- Leverage social media analytics to track performance, identify trends, and propose data-backed strategies to improve reach and engagement.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote campus events, academic achievements, and community initiatives on social media.
3. Content Coordination:
- Collaborate with the content team to ensure the seamless integration of email and social media content strategies.
- Coordinate the promotion of blog posts, articles, press releases, and other marketing materials across digital channels.
- Work with graphic designers to develop visually appealing assets that align with branding guidelines for email and social media use.

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- One to three years of experience in digital marketing, with a specific focus on email marketing and social media management.
- Proficiency in email marketing platforms (e.g., MailChimp, Constant Contact, or the like) and social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar).
- Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including segmentation, A/B testing, and deliverability optimization.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful social media campaigns across various platforms.
- Familiarity with social media analytics and ability to interpret data to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for higher education and an understanding of the unique needs and interests of university stakeholders.
Experience in an educational or nonprofit organization Physical Demands Sitting: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
Visual Acuity: Ability to read and analyze data on a computer screen for extended periods. Communication: Regularly required to talk and hear, both in person and over the phone.
Mobility: Occasionally required to move about the office to access files, office machinery, and attend meetings.
