Position Information Position Title Delayed Coking Operations Technician Job Description JOB SUMMARY:
Assists in the set-up and operation of Refining Technologies facilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (RESPONSIBILITIES):
  • Set-up research experiments.
  • Support operating activities as needed, including but not limited to delivering mail, preparing materials needed for testing, cleaning equipments, operating forklift to move heavy items, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain a research facility, supporting graduate students with experimental research projects.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of consumables and spare parts to ensure normal uninterrupted use of facilities.

Required Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • One to three years work experience; good mechanical aptitude and basic electronic skills
  • Capable of following operating procedures
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision
  • Demonstrated safe working practices in compliance with OSHA and EPA requirements
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of faculty, students and staff; excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience as a research technician, forklift operation, and inventory management.
