Cwiz is hiring a Founding Software Engineer. Join us in California or remotely in the US. This is a 4 month contract position with the potential to transition to full-time.

Automating tedious case preparation
Maximizing client benefits
Improving lawyer-to-veteran communication

What We Are Looking For:
We’re seeking a Founding Software Engineer who thrives in an early-stage startup environment, takes ownership of the engineering stack, and is eager to shape the future of our platform.
You Have:
A strong technical background with hands-on experience in full-stack software development
Proficiency in a modern tech stack. Our stack includes: TypeScript (Next.js, Nest.js), Vercel, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or AWS
A strong product mindset with a passion for delivering customer value
Startup agility—the ability to move fast, iterate, and adapt in a dynamic environment
A proven technical understanding to make wise architectural choices and take smart risks
Bonus Points If You:
Are a Veteran
Have experience integrating LLM workflows or utilizing copilots in programming efforts
What You’ll Be Working On:
You’ll play a critical role in designing and building the core platform and integrations that power our mission. As a hands-on technical builder, you’ll:
Own the engineering stack end-to-end
Architect and develop scalable and efficient systems
Work closely with the founding team to shape product strategy
