
Creative Marketing Coordinator
Background:
OKBEI currently partners with non-profit agencies, hospitals, and community organizations that are delivering health and education services to expectant families in Tulsa. Oklahoma Birth Equity Initiative (OKBEI), a fiscally sponsored organization at the Tulsa Community Foundation (TCF) that works to equip families to have healthy births with dignity and reduce maternal health disparities. We envision a community in which all people are centered and respected before, during, and after pregnancy.
Position Summary:
The Creative Marketing Coordinator (CMC) oversees integrated marketing and communications for OKBEI. The Creative Marketing Coordinator (CMC) oversees integrated marketing and communications for OKBEI. The CMC finds creative solutions spanning print and digital materials, across programs, platforms and tools. The CMC must be creative, innovative, experienced, and can anticipate organizational needs and adapt to a variety of audiences with high levels of judgement. This person will work closely with the Community Engagement Specialist to create a comprehensive outreach strategy that will engage the community and key stakeholders in the organizational mission.
OKBEI Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the brand integrity and awareness for OKBEI within a fun, relevant, and effective creative framework and content to promote the organization’s values, goals and brand for various audiences including community members, partners and funders.
- Lead graphic design, website updates, and publications including conducting basic website maintenance as well as communication and directives to external vendors for more robust website changes.
- Conceptualize and design collateral material, graphics, multimedia, and other creative products.
- Lead the development and creation of communications for stakeholders, including organizational press releases and other media communications to promote the organization and their services on a local and national level.
- Collaborate with staff to support the execution of partnership projects from ideation through completion.
- Research and analyze cultural, marketing, nonprofit, and public health trends to inform creative concepts and strategies.
- Strategically develop marketing campaigns and materials across platforms, public ad spaces and community events.
- Lead social media strategy including regular calendared posts, event promotion and social media campaigns
- Analyze data provided by Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager and other relevant sources, including cultivating and managing online dialogue by listening and being responsive to what users are saying in a timely manner, to inform digital strategies.
- Develop and implement process solutions to improve operational efficiency and monitor and measure the benefits of post process implementation to ensure product quality, efficiency, and improvement.
- Assist with any events as needed and arrange for or be a social media presence at events as needed.

Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications and/or Graphic Design preferred
- Spanish language skills preferred
Required Skills:
- Proficient in the Microsoft Suite (Office and Google Drive)
- Demonstrate brand management
- Graphic design software knowledge and experience
- Public relations and press release development and distribution experience; existing local media relationships preferred
- Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences with a high degree of professionalism and appropriate style
- Background in reproductive health or non-profits preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Ability to exercise independent judgment in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal communication skills, writing, and editing skills
- Experience with content management systems such as WordPress, Wix, Webflow or Squarespace a plus
- Proficiency with WordPress, Social Media, and Social Media/Google Analytics
- The ability to learn new computer skills quickly

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Position frequently requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Position continually requires the ability to talk and hear both in person and over the phone, visual acuity; ability to operate equipment, read, and use a keyboard
Hours and Location
- Work primarily at the OKBEI office in Tulsa, 8:00am-5:00pm, with some off-site meetings/events. Some days will require flexible hours, with either an early start or a late finish. Occasional weekend work to respond to urgent issues and/or logistical support for weekend engagements and events may be required.
