As a Contract Analyst II, you will develop, negotiate, and implement service contracts in line with procurement guidelines, while assessing the financial impacts of such services. This position plays a key role in negotiating contract terms and amendments, and ensures flawless coordination between various departments. Acting as the connection between the company and subcontractors, you ensure contract fulfillment. You are also responsible for renewing agreements in compliance with supplier policies, reviewing existing agreements for internal collaboration, and supporting the organization by drafting agreements, conducting risk assessments, and resolving contract terms. A pivotal part of the role includes evaluating contractor risk based on project scope.

A Day in the Life

In this role, you will support the Williams IT (Information Technology) department by managing vendor software contracts and renewals, using existing procedures to tackle routine problems with limited judgment and discretion. You will collaborate with the business to identify creative renewal terms and assist with budget forecasting, typically handling contracts ranging from $40,000 to $500,000 per year. Occasionally, you will work with vendors and the business on software audits, collecting and packaging asset information for team review. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate across several groups, including Information Technology, Operations Technology, and Operations.

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Collaborates with departments to devise a contract strategy, understand customer expectations, identify appropriate suppliers, lead contract negotiations and renewals, and act as the liaison between internal and external parties throughout the contract process

  • Conducts risk analysis based on the scope of work, including analysis of risks related to current contracts and potential contract changes, as well as change orders

  • Ensures adequate scopes of work are in place for all agreements

  • Develops and measure cost savings and assists customers with meeting the objectives of cost control, quality and schedule

  • Resolves any contract disputes and coordinates actions with internal procurement and legal teams if needed

  • Maintains vital data in company ERP system and participates in testing upgrades

  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of three (3) years related experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Pipeline Operations, Business Operations, Engineering, or Project Management

  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain and five (5) of years related experience

Other Requirements:

  • Preferred: experience in contract negotiations with emphasis on software/assets

  • Preferred: experience in an IT support environment such as procurement or contract management/negotiations

  • Preferred: experience in Ivanti and Oracle Cloud ERP

  • Preferred: Analytical skills associated with developing and using performance measures and cost savings

  • Knowledge of contract law, terms and conditions

  • Demonstrates outstanding organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in Oracle ERP systems

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
