Are you and your colleague passionate about navigating the complexities of health and welfare compliance? The team is seeking a dynamic duo to join as VP, Compliance and Compliance Analyst.
VP, Compliance
The VP, Compliance will provide expert health and welfare compliance support to Employee Benefits Sales Executives and Client Service teams. Responsibilities include researching and reviewing federal, state, and local laws, offering training to enhance the skills and knowledge of client service teams, and assisting in client compliance education and implementation. The VP, Compliance will ensure clients remain informed and compliant with all applicable laws, including the Affordable Care Act, while demonstrating exceptional research, leadership, business, and client relations skills.
Compliance Analyst
The Compliance Analyst will focus on standardizing processes across various service teams to promote accountability and implement compliance safeguards. Acting as a liaison between the Employee Benefits Compliance Team and Relation’s Operations and Service teams, this position will provide proactive support to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Together, the VP, Compliance and Compliance Analyst will form a powerhouse team, leveraging their existing synergy to drive compliance excellence and support clients' success.

A GLIMPSE INTO YOUR DAY
- Manages, designs, develops, and completes compliance projects to ensure that our internal teams and clients are meeting the requirements of various federal, state and local laws.
- Stays updated with federal, state, and local regulations such as HIPAA and ACA.
- Manage and investigate compliance related incidents and breaches, ensuring proper documentation and reporting to appropriate authorities.
- Provides guidance, clear insight, and recommendations to effectively and efficiently achieve compliance with Federal, state and local requirements.
- Conducts compliance reviews for new clients during onboarding and provides guidance where necessary in collaboration with internal teams.
- Conducts regular audits and reviews of organizational practices to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Performs risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and recommends corrective actions.
- Prepares comprehensive reports on compliance activities, findings, and outcomes.
- Plans, organizes, and prioritizes work in a well-organized manner.
- Conducts research to respond to ad-hoc client inquiries.
- Works closely with internal and external partners to ensure that all practices align with applicable laws and regulations.
- Recommends process improvements as needed.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE
- A Life Accident and Health License from state of domicile is required within 3 months of hire and must be maintained thereafter.
- 2+ years of healthcare compliance, auditing, risk management or equivalent combination of education and job-related experience.
- In-depth understanding of healthcare laws and regulations.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are required to maintain effective relationships with clients, team members, and others.
- Ability to conduct audits and risk assessments.
- Proficiency in in data analysis and reporting.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel, PowerPoint and Word). Must be computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications, such as online agency management systems.
- Excellent presentation skills for both in-person and teleconference/webinar sessions. Works cross-functionally and at all levels as both a self-starter and in a team environment.
- Think critically, creatively, analytically, and with sound judgment to develop and provide comprehensive, in-depth compliance analyses and ad hoc projects.
- Simultaneously manage multiple assignments while maintaining composure, good judgment, and commitment to deadlines.
- Drive and influence projects from start to finish with minimal oversight and little or no authority.
- Willingness to adhere to all principles of confidentiality.
