Description

Job Summary: Processes customer payments

Essential Responsibilities/Activities:

1. Process Lockbox, ACH, and Wire payments from customers

2. Applies payments to customer’s accounts

3. Addresses inquires and complaints regarding cash application issues

4. Code non-customer payments to the proper GL

5. Pull, process, and post web & parts store credit card reports

6. Post unapplied funds

7. Apply memo’s on customer accounts

8. Communicate with Credit, customers, and various departments.

9. Balance Accounts Receivable ledger and cash daily and at the end of each month.

10. Maintains confidentiality of customer information

11. Prepares and post journal entries (bank transfers / intercompany payments / AR credit balances)

12. Assists in gathering data for the warranty schedules

13. Roll the AR and Balance AR Ageing reports to GL

Other Responsibilities/Activities (List in order of importance additional job functions that are important but not essential to performing the job)

1. Request memo’s related to cash

2. Maintains records and files as required for audits

3. Back-up to Vendor Setups

4. Assists others with entering/posting journal entries

5. Assists Billing with matching invoices/paperwork

6. Forward wire emails to the AR group

7. Assist with formatting gross profit reports

8. Assist with special projects

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements (Include education, experience, special skills and licenses or certifications required.)

An individual in this job must have attained a minimum of Some College to meet entry-level requirements. Education beyond the minimum is an added advantage for career development activities. The individual will have a minimum of 1-2 years industry experience or equivalent experience in a similar industry.

Essential Mental Functions (Include any personality traits or social norms that must be adhered to, including working at the site and working well with others).

The qualified candidate must exhibit good decision making, analytical problem solving, statistical analysis and excellent organizational abilities. Additionally the candidate must able to communicate effectively, in written and spoken form, and possess excellent interpersonal relationship skills. Must work well in a team environment. Job requires that work be done at the AAON facility.

Essential Physical Functions:

Lift up to 25lbs

Climbing

Stooping

Sitting for prolonged periods

Requires periodic visits to manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
