JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for the efficient operation and management of the Mabee Center Business Office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop goals and objectives that tend to growth and prosperity
• Design and implement business plans and strategies to promote the attainment of goals.
• Ensure that the company has adequate and suitable resources to complete its activities (e.g. people, materials, equipment, etc.)
• Organize and coordinate operations in ways that ensure maximum productivity
• Supervise the work of employees and provide feedback and counsel to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Assess overall company performance against objectives.
• Oversee the onboarding process of new hires.
• Ensure workers have the resources to complete their work.
• Maintain and direct the personnel and activities of the department.
• Maintain a good working relationship with staff and managers.
• Responsible for coordinating payments, and reports for accounting and tracking budgets and budget adjustments as needed throughout the year
• Maintain records, prepare financial reports and paperwork, and ensure that all work is completed promptly.
• Acts as point of contact between internal departments and accounting, serving as a liaison between accounting and external parties, including clients, suppliers, and vendors.
• Preparing financial reports and budgets for the General Manager.
• Ensuring that all financial records are complete and accurate.
• Prepare and execute contracts for events in the Mabee Center, Global Learning Center, Skyline 60, and Summer Camps & Conferences.
• Responsible for payments and collecting of invoices, vendors, and auxiliary workers.
• Prepare communications such as emails, invoices, reports, and other correspondence.
• Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical.
• Communicate, collaborate, and support the ticket office and marketing on a regular basis.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT(S):
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an excellent driving record for the purpose of driving university-leased vehicles.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Ability to develop and implement goals and plans
- Must have computer experience to include MS Word and Excel
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
- Must be detail oriented, work well under stress, and able to meet deadlines.
- Must have leadership skills and the ability to respond well to a variety of situations.
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality of information.
