Business Architect, Planning & Support Consultant - Strategy (remote)
This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.
The Business Architect, Planning and Support Consultant provides support for the strategic analysis, planning, and implementation of business process enhancements and improvements required to drive scale and meet Bank objectives. Works directly with leadership, team leaders. Internal business partners and stakeholders to project manage, implement business processes and initiatives along with resource and financial management that will enable the business unit to increase and enhance production, while satisfying financial, regulatory, and compliance reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
- Business Strategy - Supports current plans, processes, and requirements that identify factors negatively affecting the business unit. Aids in the delivery of strategies and solutions that address identified issues, coordinating business efforts to achieve success. Provides support in creating internal communications for the business.
- Project Management - Supports and Leads projects, serving as a resource to the business unit or organization. Utilizes expertise to provide guidance, feedback, and direction on complex matters. Aids in the communication of performance results and expected behaviors.
- Reporting - Produces reports based on analysis, industry trends, and process capabilities. Identifies patterns, problems, and areas of improvement, and tracks effectiveness of implemented enhancements. Creates specifications, project plans, and other documentation in support of business initiatives.
- Data Analysis - Sources, compiles, and interprets data. Performs data analysis, effectively communicates and providing analysis output.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Project Planning, and Financial Services industry OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Project Planning, and Financial Services industry.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Systems, or a related field and/or a Master’s degree or MBA.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in business architecture, strategy, or a related field, with a strong background in banking or financial services.
- Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills, with the ability to build consensus.
- Proven experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams, business transformation, and process optimization.
- In-depth knowledge of banking operations, financial products, and regulatory environments.
- Understanding of the economics underpinning the bank.
- Experienced in supporting strategic planning with an ability to link the strategy to the business and technology.
- Experience conducting feasibility & situation analysis to support decisions.
- Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. BIAN, BIZBOK, TOGAF) and business process modeling tools (e.g. BPMN).
- Strong understanding of digital transformation initiatives and technologies (e.g. AI, automation, cloud).
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable qualitative and quantitative business insights.
- A track record of building trust through performance, relationship-building, and stakeholder management.
- Knowledge of financial services regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
Other Qualifications
- Certification in Business Architecture or Enterprise Architecture (e.g. BIAN, BIZBOK, TOGAF).
- Experience with financial services technology (e.g. core banking systems, CRM, ERP).
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools, including JIRA.

If hired in Phoenix, Arizona the base pay for this position is generally between $121,395 and $164,241. If hired in Raleigh, North Carolina, the base pay for this position is generally between $110,345 and $149,291. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
