Broken Arrow ReStore Warehouse Associate
Summary:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including receiving, storing, handling, and preparing items for sale while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion. The Warehouse Associate is also responsible for helping as a Sales Floor Associate, working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions and recommend the right solutions. The Warehouse/Sales Floor Associate is an ambassador for Green Country Habitat for Humanity and often makes a first impression of the organization to donors and customers, therefore a positive attitude is necessary.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct themselves professionally. Has a clean and neat appearance, and positive attitude.
- Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
- Assesses customers' needs and help and information on products available.
- Welcomes customers to the RESTORE and answer their questions.
- 'Go the extra mile' to drive sales.
- Explains to donor's items we accept. Is considerate to donors, especially those turned away due to type and condition of items.
- Ensure the donors fill out the correct donor form and they receive a copy. Forms are turned into Store Management at the end of each month.
- Follows policy and procedures in regard to customer holds, asking for prices and verifying receipts.
- Assists with keeping warehouse clean.
- Follows instructions on marketing or customer relation activities.
- Helps to load items at the donor's location in a safe and courteous fashion.
- Assists in unloading truck at ReStore, following back dock guidelines.
- Helps clean and move priced items to the showroom floor, as needed.
- Assists in other areas within the ReStore, as requested.
- Assists in keeping trucks well maintained and clean.
- Completes daily and weekly safety checklists.
- Follows all Safety and reporting guidelines as outlined by ReStore management.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Loads items at the work site in a safe and courteous fashion.
- Assists in unloading truck following dock guidelines.
- Operates powerlift equipment and various power tools.
Safety Responsibilities:
- Maintain a workplace free from serious recognized hazards and comply with safety standards, rules, and regulations.
- Use tools available to maintain a safe environment.
- Educate yourself on hazards, safety practices and rules.
- Communicate about any unsafe practices and conditions.
- Always follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Reports any injury, accident or near miss (no matter how small) to management.
- See something, say something.

Position RequirementsSkills & Abilities:
- Understanding of necessary mathematics.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline orientated environment.
- Knowledge of simple home improvement materials.
- Must possess valid Driver’s License with safe driving record.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule including Saturday and Sunday required.
Experience / Education:
- High School or GED equivalent
