The American Heart Association’s Voices for Healthy Kids initiative is seeking an Associate Grants Manager to support our equitable grant making strategy and data maintenance and analysis. (Flexible work arrangements available)

The role involves implementing grant-making strategies in the online system (Fluxx), collaborating with the consultation team on compliance documentation, preparing documentation for review and producing training materials for effective system use. Responsibilities also include maintaining and analyzing programmatic data, ensuring evaluation plans are followed, conduct and report on systems and process audits and manage a CRM.

This is a full time, grant-funded, benefits-eligible opportunity. Current funding is through 12/31/2025 with strong confidence in continued funding beyond 2025.

Responsibilities

Grant Management:

  • Under the direction of the Senior Grant Administrator, implement grant making strategy in the online grant management system (Fluxx.

  • Collaborate with the consultation team to ensure there is a clear and easy process for submitting progress reports, financial documents, and compliance documentation.

  • Conducting analysis of grantmaking and generating materials to present data related to goals and strategies.

  • Produce and share training and documentation focused on grant making to enable applicants and staff utilization of the grants management system to its full potential.

Data Maintenance and Analysis

  • Ensure the evaluation plan is implemented, and data collection is maintained and analyzed.

  • Analyze programmatic data (evaluation responses, number of attendees, grants, etc) for reporting and decision making.

  • Maintain the CRM and assist in training the team in updating, tracking and reporting from the database.

  • Conduct systems and process improvement audits to assess quality standards and identify areas for enhancement.

  • Maintain and update data systems that track progress towards deliverables and goals.

  • Prepare summaries of successes and highlights towards goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Must possess strong organizational skills, project management, attention to detail, be able to prioritize work effectively, take initiative and solve problems.

  • 3 years of experience and interest in understanding social determinants of health, health equity, and a commitment to advancing equity in communities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent computer skills, especially data management experience.

  • Must be comfortable with technology and willing to learn emerging technologies as necessary.

  • Use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), CRM/databases strongly preferred.

  • Ability to develop and sustain working partnerships with funders, partner organizations, auditors, and staff

  • The ability to communicate technical concepts effectively and create clear documentation and training materials, essential.

Compensation & Benefits

Expected pay range will be $58,000 - $62,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
