Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking an Associate Director of Global Payroll. The Associate Director of Global Payroll will be responsible for overseeing and managing payroll operations across multiple countries, states, and regions on a global scale. The primary focus will be on developing and executing the global payroll strategy, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations, and driving process improvements. The Associate Director of Global Payroll will direct a team of payroll professionals, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and provide strategic direction to optimize global payroll operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of global payroll practices, and the ability to navigate complex payroll landscapes.

Essential Duties:

· Lead and manage a team of payroll professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance

feedback.

· Oversee end-to-end global payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing for multiple

countries, states, and regions.

· Develop and execute the global payroll strategy, aligning with business objectives and compliance

requirements.

· Stay updated with evolving payroll regulations, industry trends, and emerging technologies in global

payroll management.

· Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of global payroll

operations.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, finance, legal, and IT, to streamline payroll

processes and data integration.

· Manage relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders for audits and

compliance checks.

· Lead global payroll projects, such as system implementations, upgrades, and payroll harmonization

initiatives.

· Develop and implement global payroll policies, procedures, and controls to ensure consistent

practices and compliance.

· Manage month-end/year-end payroll processes, including tax reporting, annual statements, and compliance filings globally.

Minimum Requirements:

**Education:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

**Years of Related Experience:

· 10+ years of relevant experience managing a payroll operations team.

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

o Proficiency in using payroll software/Enterprise Resource Planning systems for end-to-end global payroll processing.

o Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team. o Strong analytical skills to assess payroll data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

o In-depth understanding of payroll procedures, laws, taxes, and best practices. o Strong analytical, interpersonal, delegation, and payroll account knowledge.

o Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite products.

· Previous experience with HRIS/Payroll and/or ERP system implementation

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $95,030 to $111,800.

Staff hired on a hybrid basis in the United States near an HFHI office location (Atlanta, Georgia / Washington, DC and Americus, GA), are required to report to the office on Tuesdays.
