Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented professional for the role of an Associate Director - Donor Support. The Associate Director of Donor Support reports to the Senior Director, Donor Experience and is part of the Donor Experience team in the Resource Development Division of Habitat for Humanity International.

The Associate Director, Donor Support plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s fundraising effectiveness through strategic program support, resource development, and training. This role supports both day-to-day processes and long-term initiatives that enhance frontline fundraiser success, streamline donor marketing materials, and strengthen organizational readiness for disaster response efforts. The candidate needs to excel in complex project management and must apply continuous improvement methodology from experience. This position requires a resourceful individual with strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation, and strong analytical, and interpersonal skills. This role is a key player in shaping how we engage and inspire donors across the globe.

The Associate Director, Donor Support is a key member of the Donor Experience team that contributes to raising funds, donor retention, project coordination, strategic initiatives and collaboration with internal stakeholders.

This position will be hybrid based and will require the individual to come into the office on Tuesdays or only if needed 2-3 days out of the week.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Marketing Development for Fundraising Programs & Training: 50%

- Responsible for the execution of donor marketing materials and toolkit development in collaboration with U.S. and Global Program subject matters experts and the Global Communications team.
- Serve as the point of contact for the creation, distribution, and continuous improvement of fundraising support materials, ensuring consistency and alignment with organizational goals.
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate comprehensive training sessions for frontline fundraisers and cross-functional teams across the Resource Development (RD) division, aligning with fundraising strategies and donor priorities.
- Monitor trends and gather ongoing feedback from fundraisers and donors to inform future funding strategies, training needs, and donor stewardship approaches.
- Oversee the management of RD’s digital resource hub on SharePoint and the intranet, ensuring that all toolkits, Go-To-Market documents, recorded trainings, and key materials are accessible and up to date.

Strategic Planning, Reporting & Operations: 30%

- Manage the monthly and quarterly reporting of the funding priority donor pipeline, including tracking key performance indicators and progress toward annual revenue and engagement targets.
- Facilitate bi-weekly fundraising pipeline meetings, preparing data-driven updates and supporting materials to drive strategic decision-making and team alignment.
- Maintain oversight of project codes and budget alignment for newly launched fundraising initiatives and programmatic campaigns.
- Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies across internal teams, developing new collaborative processes that enhance integration and effectiveness between the RD division and programmatic units.

Disaster Response Fundraising: 15%

- Act as the lead coordinator for Resource Development’s engagement during major disaster responses (Level 3), working in close collaboration with U.S. and Global Program teams to activate and support donor outreach strategies.
- Oversee and manage coordinated fundraising efforts for lower-tier (Level 1 and Level 2) disaster responses, ensuring timely information flow and fundraising readiness across teams.
- Provide fundraisers with tailored updates, key messaging, and situational briefs during active disasters, enabling them to engage donors effectively and drive critical support.
- Contribute to post-disaster reporting and analysis to inform future emergency fundraising strategies and improve donor response time and impact.

Support Donor Engagement Events: 5%

- Includes virtual events as well as in-person complex, multi-day events, smaller events, and other engagement activities.

Key Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree.
- At least five years of experience around soliciting and/or understanding fundraising initiatives to donors with a strong understanding of tools and support that are foundational to a fundraiser’s toolkit.
- Requires a keen understanding of the fundraising solicitation cycle and the tools and support that are foundational for a fundraiser’s tool kit.
- Skilled in engaging with donors, managing communications, and ensuring a positive and seamless donor experience.
- Proven ability to deliver tangible impact while handling competing priorities in a ‘fast paced’ environment and exhibit efficient time management and exceptional organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly collect information from internal and external sources, synthesize and summarize for senior executive review.
- Strong written, presentation and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated business, technology and interpersonal savviness, confidence and relationship management skills to interface with all levels of the global Habitat network.
- Unquestionable personal code of ethics, integrity and trust; demonstrable servant leadership.
- Strong strategic/financial analysis skills.
- Experience in donor and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Exceptional Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Mission-driven; passionate; comfortable communicating about and working within a Christian organization.

Preferred:

- Donor communications or public relations experience.
- Prior experience in a large nonprofit environment.

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $79,000 to $93,000.
