JOB DESCRIPTION
- FULL TIME
Reports to the Head Men's Basketball Coach and is responsible for assisting in the coaching of student-athletes and management of a NCAA Division I intercollegiate basketball program.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with organizing team practice and schedule
- Assists with tasks associated with recruiting: Letters of Intent (signing) and official visits, etc.
- Monitors student-athletes class attendance, study hall, and grades
- Serves as a role model for student-athletes
- Assists with scheduling and team travel
- Assists with strength and conditioning program
- Maintains records of participation and other compliance related matters
- Responsible for the maintenance and accountability of equipment (i.e. uniforms, game equipment)
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: A bachelor’s degree required.
Experience: A minimum of one year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task and use critical thinking skills. Good time management skills, a professional demeanor, and ability to work effectively in a high energy environment with people of other cultures and backgrounds.
Other: The scope of the position requires travel, weekend and evening work; workload determine based on job responsibilities.
