Position Information Position Title Advancement Services Coordinator Job Description The Advancement Services Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of data entry, record accuracy and gift fulfillment for donors at all levels, conducts database queries and generates reports for multiple needs, and supports enhanced organizational use of Raiser’s Edge and Tessitura software systems. The position reports to the Director of Advancement Services oversees gift receipting, ensures database accuracy, and plays a key role in donor record organization, gift processing, and related reporting.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Creates and scans batches to be processed by Advancement Services Specialists.
  • Reviews gift batches, pulls and sends donor receipts and back up to appropriate
    person for thank you per department procedures.
  • Processes gift batches in Tessitura, creating membership cards, and generating thank-you communications.
  • Have working knowledge of both Raiser’s Edge and Tessitura systems so you may
    serve as backup for all positions within Advancement Services.
  • Handle management of donor thank you letters being mailed and scanned into Perceptive Content.
  • Maintains procedural documentation.
  • Supports efforts to broaden system use and proficiency throughout organization.
  • Maintains department and donor files ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • In collaboration with staff, supports mailing projects, and provides superior service to internal and external constituents.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications Equivalent Education/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field; will accept compensating experience in lieu of degree
Two years of comprehensive data base experience
Familiarity with Tessitura platform, Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM system
Background in IS training for an array of users

Knowledge/Skill/Ability
Proficiency in gift processing (entry to fulfillment), superior analytical and organizational skills Exacting attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills
Service-oriented personality with ability to creatively solve problems
