ADA Claim Specialist
Location: Virtual, but must be commutable to Tampa, FL
Training: IN-PERSON TRAINING for 3-12 weeks. 8:00AM - 4:30PM M-F
Key Responsibilities:
- Virtual roles work from a home office with periodic visits to the assigned GCSO office as needed for team events, meetings, training, business continuity, etc.
- Handle, review, and administer Family & Medical Leave Act standalone/ADA (as well as other leave) claims and adhere to federal and state regulatory and/or company plan requirements and established FMLA workflow procedures and evaluate against appropriate leave plans and make initial claim decisions.
- Complete eligibility decisions during intake call, gather pertinent data when necessary, from employee or other supporting systems as well as perform leave follow-ups as required, including recertification of health condition, intermittent claim tracking, RTW confirmation, etc.
- Update systems to accurately reflect leave status and ensure appropriate diary documentation exists.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- New hires should live a commutable distance from the site the role is posted in.
- High school diploma .
- 2+ yrs. related experience and strong customer satisfaction focus and attention to detail .
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree .
- Knowledge of system applications and Disability claims knowledge/working knowledge of FMLA/Disability/Leave. procedures preferred .
