Community Care College is seeking an Accounting Specialist. Associate or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required. Experience in collections, bookkeeping, basic accounting principles, and QuickBooks preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft (Excel, Word) and Google Workspace applications. Excellent customer service skills are required!
The Accounting Specialist will assist the senior accountant/CFO with basic bookkeeping, clerical, and accounting tasks, such as payables, receivables, filing, record keeping, student accounts, and other accounting-related projects. Must be organized, numbers-oriented, have attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
Full-time with benefits! Mon & Tues 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Wed & Thurs 8:00 am-5:00 pm, and Fri. 8:00 am-3:00 pm. Background check, credit check, and drug screen required. Join our amazing Accounting team today!
Duties:
- Processing and timely posting of payables (invoices, processing payments etc.)
- Assist with monthly closing responsibilities such as earnings adjustments, reconciliations, etc.
- Assist with credit card charge postings
- Performs required transaction processing and data entry as required
- Assist in the preparation and recording of accounts receivable and cash receipts
- Assist in the preparation of allocation tables for indirect expenses and revenue items as needed
- Maintain required records, reports, and files in an organized manner
- Assist with filing and record-keeping
- Perform related duties as directed within the project guidelines established
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
- Ability to organize and maintain detailed records
- Ability to effectively present information to management
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions finished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Experience and knowledge in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets & Word documents
Qualifications
- An Associate Degree or higher from an accredited institution is required
- Previous experience in collections, bookkeeping, basic accounting principles, and QuickBooks preferred
- Excellent Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills - written and verbal
- Welcoming, friendly, and excellent customer service skills
- Above-average level of expertise in computer literacy
- Proficient with Microsoft (Excel, Word) and Google Workspace applications
