At a Glance:

The primary responsibilities of the Senior Accountant position include, but are not limited to period, quarter, and year-end close process. The Senior Accountant will support our International Operations and may also be involved with more complex issues by utilizing enhanced analytical or accounting skills.

Work Type: Remote
Location: Tulsa, OK

This position is expected to be filled in the greater Tulsa, Oklahoma area.

What you will do:

  • Supporting the period, quarter, and year-end financial reporting process

  • Preparing journal entries

  • Preparing working trials for multiple companies

  • Preparing reconciliations of accounts, actively investigating reconciling items to resolve timely

  • Performing analytical assignments and preparing accounting reports

  • Assisting with internal and external audits ensuring all schedules, requests and aspects of the audits are addressed in a timely and appropriate manner

  • Maintaining records for accounting transactions

  • Contributing to the company’s efforts to comply with the requirements of Sarbanes Oxley while ensuring compliance and adherence with controls for internal policies and external regulations

  • Participating in the identification and implementation of improvements to accounting processes

  • Various ad-hoc projects as assigned by supervisor or manager

What you need:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting

  • 3-4 years of Accounting experience

  • CPA or CPA track

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail

  • Familiarity with financial accounting statements

  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles

  • Experience with general ledger function and the monthly/yearly closing process

  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills

  • Advanced MS Excel skills including pivot tables and Vlookups

  • Excellent interpersonal and professional skills

  • Self-motivated

  • Excellent organizational skills in order to manage multiple tasks

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems like Oracle

  • Experience working with or within a public company with SEC reporting and SOX control requirements

Not a must, but a plus

  • Public accounting experience (Big Four a plus)

  • Spanish proficiency a plus

  • Experience with Alteryx or Microsoft Power Suite

  • Experience in the oil field service industry
