About us
Tulsa Botanic Garden is developing on a 170-acre site just 8 miles northwest of downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma. The garden is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to promote the beauty and importance of plants and nature to create a more sustainable and harmonious world.
The master plan for developing approximately 70 acres into horticultural gardens and facilities was unveiled in December 2012. The A.R. and Marylouise Tandy Floral Terraces, a 3-acre ornamental garden, opened in October 2015 and includes over 8,000 permanent plants, three cascading water features, and 5,700 square feet in seasonal plant display. Over 100,000 bulbs are planted for the annual Tulsa Botanic Blooms celebration, one of the largest in the region.
The Children's Discovery Garden opened in May 2016 as a wonderland garden environment with hands-on activities throughout.
