Mental Health Association Oklahoma the current initiatives include mental health education for students, employees, and the general public, psychiatric advocacy against prejudice and discrimination people living with mental illness in relapse, support groups, free counselling, referrals to other services, help for those in need, mental health screening, suicide prevention, and crisis intervention in education. In particular, they offer housing and support services for those affected by substance addiction, psychiatric illness, release from prison, and homelessness, as well as peer to peer recovery therapy and transitional employment. All of these efforts begin with advocating for the target population. They have reviewed the availability of quality mental evaluation and treatment in the community with people with drug addiction clinicians, social welfare agencies.
