Sr. Director, Chief of Staff - Enterprise Platforms (Remote Eligible)The Sr. Director, Chief of Staff is a critical position supporting senior leadership, enabling leaders to execute strategic work while ensuring operational rigor. The Chief of Staff is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining the following four strategic areas foundational for the success of the leaders of Enterprise Platforms Tech: 1) Strategy, 2) Operational Excellence, 3) Communications, and 4) Organizational Capability.Candidates should have a passion for technology, strong strategic command, an engaging executive presence, exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills, expertise in relationship-building, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once. Candidates should be excited about improving the daily lives and development of our engineers and help our leaders advance our strategy at scale.Responsibilities:<ul> <li>Serve as a strategic thought partner for a member of the Enterprise Tech senior leadership team, helping guide the operations and management of their organization. </li> <li>Act as a central point of contact between the Enterprise Tech leader and other key partners across the organization.</li> <li>Prioritize and focus leaders in a number of key areas (goals, labor strategy, budget, organizational growth, etc).</li> <li>Understand the organization’s strategy and vision, lead the Leader and their team to drive and track goals and priorities.</li> <li>Assist the leader and their team with strategic planning including financial and resource planning in collaboration with key partners, including the Enterprise Platforms Tech Chief of Staff, Finance, and HR.</li> <li>Create and manage effective, scalable processes to manage operating rhythms. </li> <li>Requires an ability to lead and influence to inject new operational processes to drive executional discipline and excellence.</li> <li>Influence across all levels of the organization and across organizations. </li> <li>Work with the leader and their communications team to plan and execute key messages and deliver to internal and external audiences with a high priority on consistent, frequent organizational communications.</li> <li>Develop relationships within direct and extended team members to be able to act as an informed and helpful sounding board and thought partner.</li> </ul>The Successful Candidate Will:<ul> <li>Demonstrate strong communications proficiency, including across teams and organizations, and have experience utilizing oral and written communication skills along with presentation skills</li> <li>Have the ability to multitask with simultaneous projects and tasks, while demonstrating urgency, prioritization, and ownership to drive issues to completion</li> <li>Possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to be goal/execution-oriented</li> <li>Be able to react seamlessly to change in priorities and delivery focus</li> <li>Be capable of balancing strategy and tactical delivery</li> <li>Execute a strategic approach to all things especially process and operations</li> </ul>Capital One is open to hiring a remote employee for this opportunity.Basic Qualifications:<ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree</li> <li>At least 9 years of experience in Project Management, Process Management, or Program Management</li> <li>At least 3 years of experience managing executive level stakeholders</li> </ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul> <li>Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA)</li> <li>10+ years of experience in Project Management, Process Management, Program Management, or Agile Delivery</li> <li>5+ years of experience in strategy development</li> <li>5+ years of experience in finance, labor strategy, or budgeting</li> <li>5+ years of experience driving organizational change and operational excellence</li> <li>CSM, PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification</li> </ul>At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.Remote (Regardless of Location): $240,300 - $274,300 for Sr. Director, Chief of Staff McLean, VA: $264,300 - $301,700 for Sr. Director, Chief of Staff New York, NY: $288,400 - $329,100 for Sr. Director, Chief of Staff Plano, TX: $240,300 - $274,300 for Sr. Director, Chief of Staff San Francisco, CA: $288,400 - $329,100 for Sr. Director, Chief of Staff Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
