Primary Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Be proactive in the use, maintenance, and urging of others to use PPE.</li> <li>Exhibit superior customer service skills</li> <li>Exhibit organization, cleanliness, and professionalism</li> <li>Drive truck to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle in difficult situations, such as narrow passageways.</li> <li>Inspect truck for defects before and after trips and submits reports indicating truck condition.</li> <li>Maintain all personal logs (ICC, CSA, etc.) in accordance with DOT regulations.</li> <li>Assist in the loading/unloading of trucks, such as:</li> <li>Driving a truck into position to load/unload</li> <li>Loading/Unloading trucks with a forklift</li> <li>Verifying the loaded amount per bill of lading/shipping manifest</li> <li>Connecting heavy hoses, opens valves or starts pumps to fill or empty tank</li> <li>Purges oils based on approved QC standards and takes samples of oils for customer and facility retains</li> <li>Reads gauges or meters and records off-loaded quantities</li> <li>Drives truck to customers premises to load/unload</li> <li>Follow all specialized customer safety guidelines</li> <li>Safe operation of crane pumps and lift gate</li> <li>Assist in warehouse functions when not driving</li> <li>Delivering finished goods- Drums, Totes, Pails</li> <li>Daily inventory truck accessories and cleans as required</li> <li>Understand HAZMAT and emergency spill containment and response.</li> </ul> Requirements <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred</li> <li>Forklift experience</li> <li>CDL-A, HAZMAT, and Tanker certifications</li> <li>Verbal and written skills necessary to read and follow instructions and to give instructions or directions to drivers and customers.</li> <li>Punctual and diligent in adhering to work schedules and must be able to meet the overtime requirements during seasonal work</li> <li>Willingness to learn coupled with a “can-do” attitude</li> <li>Pass Driver proficiency assessment</li> <li>Ability to lift 50 pounds from the floor to waist level</li> <li>Ability to push/pull 100 pounds with or without assistance</li> <li>Entering/Exiting/Driving vehicle multiple times during the day</li> <li>Ability to regularly walk briskly across large expanses, 100 – 200 yards at a time, to view/visit customer sites</li> <li>Ability to walk up and down one to two flights of stairs when visiting customer sites</li> <li>Ability to drive several miles per day to call on customers</li> <li>Ability to climb ladders several times per day to check tanks</li> <li>At least 2-year verifiable commercial driving experience preferred</li> <li>Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record</li> <li>Stable work history</li> <li>This is a safety-sensitive position</li> </ul>
