External job applicants with a confirmed positive drug or alcohol test result shall be denied employment and shall be required to wait one year before applying for another position within Tulsa County.<h1>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS </h1><ul> <li>Assume the Unit Shift Supervisor duties in his/her absence. </li> <li>Responsible for the daily leadership of staff, interns, and volunteers. </li> <li> Responsible for reviewing, recording and maintaining all written forms, shift logs and incident reports. </li> <li>Assist in the oversight of admissions and releases, when needed. </li> <li>Report shift emergencies or events outside of normal operations to the Administrator on Call and/or Chief of Detention Operations. </li> <li> Provide direction for emergencies or staffing deficits. </li> <li>Subject to recall on a 24-hour basis. </li> <li>Ensure resident discipline and room confinement are consistent with facility policy and procedure. </li> <li> Conduct record checks, admissions, releases, and query to Jolts system. </li> <li>Assist in gathering documentation for oversight standards compliance of regulatory agency requirements or compliance entities. </li> <li>Assist in formal orientation training of new staff. </li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li> </ul><h1>Additional Job Description</h1> <h1>REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES </h1> Skill in recognizing underlying causes of social problems; in counseling an individual concerning personal and family problems; and in eliciting pertinent personal information. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. <h1>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS </h1> Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
