Reporting to the Provost with strong connections to the Chief Information Officer and Vice President for Strategy and Innovation, this role works closely with deans, faculty members, and the student success team to understand their needs and deliver solutions that enhance the academic experience and outcomes for a diverse and evolving body of student populations. <strong>Essential Functions (Responsibilities):</strong> <ul> <li>Develops and implements a comprehensive academic and learning technology strategy that aligns with the university’s mission, vision, and goals.</li> <li>Manages the selection, acquisition, development, integration, and maintenance of software and applications that support teaching, learning, and research, such as learning management systems, courseware, e-portfolios, assessment tools, etc.</li> <li>Ensures the security, reliability, performance, and scalability of academic and learning technology software and applications.</li> <li>Provides technical support and training to faculty, staff, and students.</li> <li>Works with the Henneke center to offer workshops in both technology and pedagogical best practice.</li> <li>Supports individual faculty to incorporate learning technologies to achieve better student learning.</li> <li>Establishes and enforces standards, policies, and best practices for academic and learning technology software and applications development and management.</li> <li>Evaluates and monitors the effectiveness and efficiency of academic and learning technology software and applications and provides regular reports and feedback.</li> <li>Stays abreast of emerging technologies and trends and assesses their value for the university, recommending and implementing promising solutions for the benefit of the campus.</li> <li>Manages the academic and learning technology budget and resources.</li> <li>Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.</li> </ul>    Required Qualifications  <strong>Required Qualifications:</strong> <ul> <li>Master’s degree in educational technology, instructional design, or related field required.</li> <li>Must have 5 – 7 years of progressive experience in academic and learning technology software and applications development and management, preferably in higher education or similar complex environment.</li> <li>Experience with various academic and learning technology platforms, such as Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, etc. required.</li> <li>Highly self-motivated and directed.</li> <li>Team-oriented, excels in a collaborative environment.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communications skills (both technical and non-technical).</li> <li>Proven analytical and problem solving abilities.</li> <li>Ability to multitask effectively and efficiently to successfully perform assignments.</li> <li>Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of academic and learning technology software and applications development methodologies, tools, and standards.</li> <li>Familiarity with cloud computing, web services, mobile applications, and data analytics.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and vendors.</li> <li>Proficient with Microsoft Suite.</li> </ul>    Preferred Qualifications  <strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong> <ul><li>Doctoral degree in educational technology, instructional design, or related field preferred.</li></ul>    Physical Demands <ul> <li> <strong>Typing/Keyboarding:</strong> Proficiency in typing and using a computer keyboard for extended periods.</li> <li> <strong>Speaking:</strong> Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.</li> <li> <strong>Reaching:</strong> Ability to reach for items on shelves or in cabinets.</li> <li> <strong>Manual Dexterity:</strong> Ability to use hands and fingers to operate office equipment, handle files, and perform other tasks.</li> </ul>       Posting Detail Information      Posting Number S753P   Open Date    Close Date    Open Until Filled Yes   Special Instructions to Applicants    Advertising Summary         <h2>EEO Statement</h2>    EEO Statement      Eeo Statement Summary <p>The University of Tulsa seeks to recruit and retain talented students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds.
