Responsibilities section: System Installation and Training <ul> <li>Install and train customers on various Laser &amp; Vision-based projection and inspection systems in variety of environments, applications, and industries.</li> <li>On-site calibration &amp; commissioning of new hardware &amp; software.</li> <li>System level troubleshooting.</li> <li>Deliver multi-day training courses including classroom-based theory &amp; conduct hands-on “at the machine” learning for operators, administrators, &amp; maintenance personnel.</li> <li>Follow all company quality and safety procedures.</li> <li>Provide detailed accounts of customer applications and take part in data collection for new product development &amp; bug reporting/resolution.</li> </ul> On-site Service &amp; Troubleshooting <ul> <li>In field diagnostic testing/troubleshooting of electro optic, &amp; electronic components using standard instruments.</li> <li>Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other 3rd party integrated system components.</li> <li>Carry out preventative maintenance programs to ensure proper machine performance while keeping required maintenance records.</li> <li>Provide phone and online support to customers as required.</li> </ul> Remote Support <ul> <li>Provide remote technical support via phone, email, and remote desktop client from your home office.</li> <li>Do your part to support the global team; occasionally answer after hours support calls on nights or weekends.</li> <li>Maintain proper reporting and data entry within company CRM/business systems.</li> <li>Manage and process your own travel expenses.</li> <li>Product testing.</li> </ul> Requirements section: General <ul> <li>Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Photonics (vision) Technology or equivalent program.</li> <li>Multiple language skills, specifically Spanish or French, an asset, but not required.</li> <li>Previous experience in a technical service role or a position requiring direct customer contact is an asset.</li> <li>Demonstrated spatial awareness &amp; the ability to think in 3D.</li> <li>Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.</li> <li>Safety conscious.</li> </ul> Computer skills <ul> <li>Demonstrated ability with Windows &amp; Windows based software including MS OFFICE and Google workspace.</li> <li>Able to interpret NC programming language (G-Code or similar).</li> <li>Ability to efficiently navigate advanced settings within Windows 10 including N/W troubleshooting &amp; Installing S/W.</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge of basic network topography.</li> <li>Comfortable learning new software.</li> <li>Experience with CAD design (Solidworks, Autodesk, Creo/NX, CATIA) an asset.</li> </ul> Technical Aptitude <ul> <li>Demonstrated understanding of 3D coordinate systems.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to read technical documentation including wiring diagrams.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability diagnostic tools such as LPM, DMM, Oscilloscope etc.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to read technical drawings (electrical and/or dimensioned mechanical drawings).</li> <li>Experience and/or knowledge of CNC equipment an asset.</li> <li>Experience working with portable CMMs, Laser Tracker or Theodolite an asset.</li> </ul> Working conditions <ul> <li>Travel requirement of up to 75%, primarily within the USA.
