We are seeking an experienced litigation paralegal who can support our growing third party civil requests team, as well as our other litigation teams as needed. This position will report to our Director, Associate General Counsel, Litigation, who leads the Consumer, Commercial, and International Litigation Teams and who is based in the US. What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties): <ul> <li>With guidance from attorneys and other members of the litigation team, log, calendar, track, and respond to incoming domestic and international subpoenas, levies, liens, garnishments, letters from counsel and other civil third-party requests.</li> <li>Communicate with opposing counsel and various government agencies regarding outstanding requests with the assistance of attorneys and other members of the litigation team.</li> <li>Provide operational support to maintain, evaluate, and, where needed, improve, Coinbase internal processes to respond to third party civil requests.</li> <li>Assist with the processing and handling of executor and beneficiary requests in connection with Coinbase’s Death of Account Holder process.</li> <li>Provide support to attorneys responding to incoming attorney demand letters and regulatory complaints.</li> <li>Draft routine correspondence.</li> <li>Support teams with other projects or tasks on an as-needed basis.</li> </ul> What we look for in you (ie. job requirements): <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree with 2-4 + years of relevant experience as a litigation paralegal, either at a leading national firm, or comparable in-house practice, ideally with exposure to high growth companies.</li> <li>Experience sending and/or receiving a high volume of civil subpoenas, summons, levies, liens, garnishments, and other third-party requests on a daily basis.</li> <li>Exceptional professional judgment.</li> <li>Excellent organizational and communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to execute under pressure and within tight timelines while juggling multiple projects.</li> <li>Highest level of accuracy, superb attention to detail, and excellent proofreading skills.</li> <li>Ability to process highly confidential data and maintain discretion.</li> <li>A self-starter with enthusiasm, who can work independently with minimal oversight on certain projects but who is also a team player and can support on projects when needed.</li> <li>Willingness to roll up sleeves (no job too big, no job too small).</li> </ul> Nice to haves: <ul> <li>Proficiency with Google Suite (Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel), Docusign, and Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.</li> <li>Familiarity with Advologix, Jira, Asana, and Slack or other related software systems, as well as e-discovery platforms like Logikcull and Relativity.</li> <li>Experience with technology companies (ideally Fintech) whether as clients while at a law firm or as an employer.</li> <li>Experience with SQL.</li> </ul> Job #: P65596 Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below.
