Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance and salary range at the time of the offer.<h3>Responsibilities </h3>Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.<ul> <li>Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.</li> <li>Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition. Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.</li> <li>Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcomes.</li> <li>Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provide information about community support groups and other available programs.</li> <li>Assist with care, calibration and maintenance of all equipment. Participate in maintaining departmental inventory levels for supplies and equipment. Process equipment per established cleaning/sterilization procedures.</li> <li>Respond to emergency resuscitation team calls.</li> </ul><h3>Requirements </h3>Licensure/Certification/Registration:<ul> <li>BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.</li> <li>Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision required. Respiratory Care Practitioner provisional letter will be accepted until license is issued.</li> <li>Certified Respiratory Therapist required.</li> <li>Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.</li> <li>Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.</li> <li>Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.</li> </ul>Education:<ul><li>High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.</li></ul><h3>Additional Preferences </h3>No NICU experience required.
