Job Description: This job is responsible for providing operational support for securities, loans, exchange traded derivatives and over the counter derivatives across multiple lines of business through the lifecycle of a trade. Key responsibilities include handling trading and operational activities before deadlines, maintaining internal systems and providing operational support to internal partners. Job expectations include maintaining a high degree of accuracy with customers and data to ensure compliance with regulations and policies. Position will support the Global Markets Shared Operations Governance/Control/Reporting Team. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Functions include, but are not limited to, creation and enhancement of metrics reporting, quality and risk control development, management of various strategic projects and initiatives, ongoing quality assurance and quality control routines, risk reduction plan development, and support of the operating model.</li> <li>Manage data sets in order to create new functional Reports or Dashboards of Breaks/Fails/PayRecs data.</li> <li>Participate in tactical and strategic projects focused on process improvements and risk mitigation.</li> <li>Perform deep dive analysis of Governance functions to identify control gaps and process improvement opportunities.</li> <li>Compile and present GMO breaks metrics for senior management</li> <li>Independently navigate projects/process improvements around breaks reporting to ensure we have a complete and accurate view of global breaks on a daily basis.</li> <li>Liaise with line of business contacts to gather commentary and drive break reduction initiatives including critical analysis and deep dives to identify root cause of break volumes.</li> <li>Performs set-up and maintenance of core data across client, account, instrument, and agreement data, and oversees data quality within key data platforms</li> <li>Ensures transactions are completed in an accurate and timely manner</li> <li>Provides operational support for one or more activities within the lifecycle of a trade, including trade processing, trade settlement, accounting and reconciliation, lifecycle events, and collateral management</li> <li>Conducts daily monitoring of client trading activity across multiple markets, servicing clients' needs</li> <li>Completes accurate, timely clearing and settlement of trades with internal and external counterparties, including reconciliation management and governance of trade fails and breaks</li> <li>Performs tasks accurately during high volume periods in a team environment</li> <li>Identifies and flags potential risks in a timely manner</li> </ul> Required Skills: <ul> <li>Experience ( Intermediate or Advanced)working with data sets and Data analytics applications (Tableau, Python, Alteryx, Excel, Etc)</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks</li> <li>Demonstrated ability/willingness to continuously learn on the job</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to problem solve</li> <li>Experience with reconciliation systems / design</li> </ul> Skills: <ul> <li>Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to present to an audience.</li> <li>Ability to work under pressure in a team environment.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience liaising with and influencing all levels of the firm and people with different experiences and backgrounds.</li> <li>Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
