Job Description: The US rates strategy group is responsible for generating financial market research, forecasts, and trade ideas across US &amp; Canadian rates markets. The team covers duration, curve, front end, inflation protected securities, spreads, agency debt, vol, and supply / demand topics. The team partners with key business partners across sales &amp; trading + other business lines throughout the firm. We are looking for someone to support the team &amp; develop into a strong research analyst. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Serve as key member of Bank of America interest rate strategy team and in support of team production</li> <li>Work closely with senior members of the team in markets analysis &amp; research production</li> <li>Conduct macroeconomic, market, and interest rate analysis to formulate views and trades in the rates market</li> <li>Support stand-out thematic research with a focus on trade idea generation and monetizable ideas across US rates</li> <li>Assist in production of weekly research pieces on macro and micro views on wide range of factors affecting interest rates including monetary policy, fiscal policy and global macro-economic developments</li> <li>Work with the sales force in maintaining relationships with clients by updating with latest market developments, conference calls and one-on-one meetings</li> <li>Use applied statistics to help generate and inform views</li> <li>Periodic travel may be required</li> </ul> Qualifications: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree (Finance, Economics, Statistics or related) or equivalent years of experience</li> <li>1-2 years of experience in relevant field + demonstrated interest in US interest rates / macroeconomics</li> <li>Background in economic &amp; financial market analysis + applied statistics / econometrics</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to manage large data sets and conduct macro &amp; financial markets analysis</li> <li>Excellent communication (written &amp; verbal), presentation, &amp; interpersonal skills</li> <li>Meticulous attention to detail and strong work ethic are required</li> <li>Proven organizational and time management skills as well as ability to work under pressure</li> <li>Capable of working effectively both independently and with multiple teams/individuals</li> <li>Familiarity in R or Matlab is a plus, but not required</li> </ul> Shift:1st shift (United States of America) Hours Per Week: 40
