Job Description: The AI/Model/Quant Risk Oversight team: <ul> <li> Oversees and proactively challenges our model use and AI application.</li> <li> Supports effective model development/deployment and responsible AI innovation </li> </ul>Ensure model/AI practice meets regulatory compliance requirement, strengthening decision-making, protecting customers and safeguarding the company from financial and reputational damage Your way to impact You will make an impact by ensuring that; <ul> <li>PP’s Credit (CECL/IFRS9) and Transaction Loss Reserving is adequate</li> <li>Annual regulatory submissions (ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery Plan, other ad hoc request) are carried out with models that are thoroughly reviewed and risk identified/mitigated</li> <li>Global stress testing framework is developed and updated that accomodates PP’s unique business models</li> <li>Internal loss forecasting, stress testing and other relevant finance treasury models are thoughtfully developed to support various business requirement </li> </ul> Your day-to-day In your day-to-day role, you will XXX In your day-to-day role you will; <ul> <li>Perform quantitative and qualitative model validation on Finance/Treasury models (reserving, capital, liquidity, stress testing, etc) according to Model Risk Management Policy to identify model risks that might have financial and regulatory implication</li> <li>Provide oversight on Credit (CECL/IFRS9) and Transaction Loss Reserving, including the assessment of qualitative overlay</li> <li>Provide oversight on loss forecasting, internal and regulatory stress testing exercises</li> <li>Review and support annual regulatory submissions (ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery Plan, other ad hoc request)</li> <li>Collaborate with Finance, Treasury and other FLOD stakeholders to remediate issues identified and provide subject-matter expert opinion on improvements</li> <li>Manage and develop a small team of highly competent junior team members, fostering technical growth in the model validation as well as their leadership capabilities </li> </ul> What Do You Need To Bring <ul> <li>We know the confidence gap and imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting spectacular candidates. Please don’t hesitate to apply.</li> <li>Education:</li> <ul><li>A master’s or advanced degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, finance, or economics. </li></ul> <li>Experience:</li> <ul> <li>More than 10 years of experience in model risk management, validation, and/or oversight with significant exposure in financial disclosure/regulatory submission</li> <li>Good level understanding of advanced modelling approach in financial balance sheet, loss &amp; reserving; Expertise in CECL/IFRS9 a plus</li> <li>Fundamental understanding of financial and banking risk, including but not limited to solvency, liquidity, market risk</li> <li>Exposure in entity level stress testing on loss, revenue, capital, and liquidity</li> <li>Proven track record in regulatory compliance alignment across risk and model management activities (e.g., OCC 2011-12, SR 11-7, GDPR). </li> </ul> <li>Technical Competencies:</li> <ul> <li>Advanced proficiency in modelling techniques (e.g., linear and logistical regression, ARIMA, XGBoost, random forests, CNNs/RNNs, GANs)</li> <li>Robust coding skills for big data and AI systems, including Python, SQL, TensorFlow, Hadoop, and Spark.</li> <li>Familiarity with anomaly detection, clustering methods, risk scoring, and natural language models for compliance analytics. </li> </ul> <li>Core Skills:</li> <ul> <li>Exceptional communication, writing, and presentation skills to convey technical concepts to stakeholders at all seniority levels (executives, regulators, auditors, etc.).</li> <li>Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams on complex AI governance projects.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. </li> </ul> </ul> We know the confidence gap and imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting spectacular candidates.
