Solutions Architecture (50%) <ul> <li>Partner with business and technology subject-matter experts to translate business requirements into technological solutions. </li> <li>Collaborate with other architects to design scalable and adaptable architectural solutions. </li> <li>Develop and maintain enterprise-grade architectural plans for systems, products, and projects. </li> <li>Create and update policies, standards, reference architectures, and guidelines to ensure consistency across the organization. </li> <li>Research and lead the adoption of high-value retail and technology industry trends and emerging technologies. </li> <li>Serve as a technical expert across multiple technologies. </li> </ul> 2. Strategic Planning (20%) <ul> <li>Collaborate with business leaders to develop business cases that add value to the organization. </li> <li>Estimate future work and assist in the creation of the departmental budget. </li> <li>Research and document strategic plans to advance IT processes and technology. </li> <li>Contribute to the annual IT Strategic Plan creation and implementation. </li> </ul> 3. Product and Project Stewardship (15%) <ul> <li>Act as the architectural steward for projects, ensuring solutions adhere to architectural guidelines. </li> <li>Create or assign reference architectures for engineering and development teams. </li> <li>Provide technical expertise and advice as needed, including fulfilling the role of Product Owner when assigned. </li> <li>Ensure documented deliverables meet architectural standards. </li> </ul> 4. Leadership (10%) <ul> <li>Mentor technical resources to enhance their skillsets and career growth. </li> <li>Identify and facilitate growth opportunities for other team members. </li> </ul> 5. Service Management (5%) <ul> <li>Assist in resolving IT incidents and problems. </li> <li>Review and approve changes generated from change management weekly. </li> <li>Analyze incident trends and establish problem records to prevent future incidents. </li> </ul> Position Specifications: Required Education: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field, or 5 years of professional experience in an architectural capacity. </li> </ul> Desired Education: <ul> <li>Certifications such as VMware, Cisco Data Center, Cisco Route/Switch, Information Systems Security Professional/Manager (CISSP/CISSM), ITIL Foundation, and Project Management. </li> </ul> Required Experience: <ul> <li>10 years of experience with local and wide-area networks, system design, virtualization technologies, storage area networking, and cybersecurity technologies. </li> <li>5 years of experience leading the design and architecture of technology solutions. </li> <li>Proficiency with Microsoft, VMware, Palo Alto, Cisco, Citrix, and NetApp solutions. </li> <li>Strong understanding of infrastructure services including compute, storage, network, and security. </li> <li>Experience with project management, ITSM, ITIL, and troubleshooting complex problems. </li> </ul> Desired Experience: <ul> <li>Experience with IBM AS/400/IBM Power Systems, multiple database platforms, data protection software, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, AIX Unix, and RHEL. </li> <li>Familiarity with Cisco Routing and Switching, Palo Alto, Riverbed, Infoblox, and multiple virtualization or container-based technologies. </li> </ul> If you are interested in learning more about the Senior Solutions Architect opportunity, please submit your resume for consideration.
